I think he was right to stop cause you never know with people. Honestly in the US, if its a crosswalk, people would walk across even if a car came speeding through at 80 mph. "Because they are suppose to stop!" They cry and yes they would be correct...but they'd be dead. Always look both ways crossing the street and even though the car is suppose to stop, let them go if they are determined to drive on through. Because your life is more important than being right.

Dude I drive in the USA almost daily, and every single time I watch one of these clips from this lady, I’m stressed tf out because usually she explains something about driving in the UK that makes almost no sense to me until I read the comments that explain how unintuitive the system she is explaining is. That sign is not only unhelpful but it’s like you’re already approaching the street markings by the time you can see the sign. I wish it was easier for humans to quickly redo infrastructure like roads and highways so there wasn’t so many instances of things like this that only serve to annoy and frustrate drivers because you basically have to learn the roads you travel before you travel them or else you risk a crash because someone built a wonky road
